Transactions and transaction history
Why are some of my transactions delayed?
Occasionally, transactions may take a bit longer to appear on Benjamin. This delay is often due to processing times at your bank or within Plaid, the system that connects your bank account to Benjamin.
Both banks and Plaid handle vast amounts of data daily, and sometimes, temporary issues can cause delays in transmitting transaction data to our platform. These delays are usually short-lived, and your transactions should update in your Benjamin account soon.
Why are my transactions not being properly categorized?
While Benjamin aims for accurate transaction categorization, there can sometimes be discrepancies due to data received from Plaid or how your bank codes transactions. If you notice that a transaction is miscategorized, please contact Benjamin’s customer support. We can investigate and correct any errors, helping to keep your financial overview accurate and clear.
Why is my transaction history not up-to-date?
An up-to-date transaction history is essential for managing your finances. If your recent activities aren’t reflected in your Benjamin account, this might be due to delays in data updates from Plaid or your bank. While both systems work to synchronize data securely, occasional lags can occur. These issues typically resolve with time, ensuring your transaction history in Benjamin will soon be fully up-to-date.
